I spent years trying to earn a love I already had.
I'm Brandon Ball, the pastor behind Grace Answers. This whole ministry came out of the day I stopped striving and finally read the cross for what it actually says.
My Story
The wall I hit, and what was waiting on the other side.
For most of my Christian life I was tired in a way no weekend could fix. I believed God loved me, but it always came with fine print. Do more. Try harder. Hope it was enough. I was building a relationship with God on a foundation I had to keep pouring myself, and it was cracking.
In 2016 it gave out completely. And in the wreckage I finally saw the thing I had read a hundred times and never believed: the New Covenant. Jesus did not come so I could try harder. He came so I could rest in what He had already finished.
It turns out the work I was breaking myself to do was a work that had already been done.
That is what Grace Answers exists for. It is a place to ask the honest questions, open the Bible without the legalism, and discover that your standing before God was never yours to earn. It was settled at the cross and handed to you as a gift.
What I Believe
Four things, and everything hangs on them
Grace is not a doctrine. It's a Person.
You don't study your way into grace. You meet Him. Everything here points back to Jesus, not a system about Him.
Jesus finished the work. We rest in it.
The cross was not a down payment you keep covering. It was paid in full. Your job is not to complete it. It's to believe it.
You don't have to fix yourself first.
He never asked you to clean up before you came. Identity before impact, always. You come as you are, and He does the changing.
Real faith feels like freedom.
If your walk with God feels like pressure, fear, and a scoreboard, something got swapped out. The real thing feels like rest.
My Family
Grace isn't just what I teach. It's how we live.
Abbe, Camden, and Kensington are the heart of my world. They keep me grounded, fill our days with laughter, and remind me what grace looks like when it stops being a sermon and starts being a home.
We've walked the highs and the lows together, and through every one of them the finished work of Jesus has been the anchor. I'm endlessly thankful for their love, their belief in this message, and the joy they bring.
